The Smile Experiment Participant-Observation Study
Question: Can smiling influence environmental engagement? Answer: Positive operational definition: It helps to identify one or more specific as well as observable events or circumstances. However, another researcher can be able to measure independently and test the hypothesis of the research. A researcher while measuring happiness and depression in college students decides to use a ten-question happiness scale to measure effective positive outlook within the subject. In other words, this particular operational definition of happiness can be measured with the help of effective technique. Data collection process: The researcher can collect effective data from the people. Therefore, the researcher will collect several primary data for the effectiveness of the research. Dependent and independent variable: For this research perspective, the dependent variable is environmental engagement. However, for this particular perspective of research, smile is the independent variable. Description of the research process: A smile is very necessary for every human being of this world. A smile is positive. However, all smiles are not positive. There is an also negative aspect of the smile. Some smiles are more positive than other people of this world. A researcher can assess the amount of happiness of a person through the experiment of the smile (Pena-Miller et al. 2013). To do smile experiment, a researcher should divide the team based on roles of different persons. The segregation of person will depend upon person 1 and person 2 and person 3. The researcher needs to keep a stopwatch or pencil to keep the record in mind. After this process, the narrator should read aloud in keeping mind the particular aspect of the experiment. However, the person should follow the instruction of the narrator. However, the persons should do this smiling experiment for four times. The researcher should be able to identify the predictive measure of the person. However, this smiling experiment should be very significant for the experiment of the life. The goal of this smiling experiment is to assess the ripple effect. The goal of the project and action steps to implement the project should be included within the project purpose. However, this smile experience helps to identify the aspect of happiness among the people (Wahyuningrum and Damayanti, 2012). There are many reasons for smiling at strangers. People who have been recognized by a stranger can feel more connected to other people immediately after the experience of people who have been deliberately ignored by the society. There are different reasons for the smile at stranger people of the society. There are different types of meaning of the very smile. There are many emotional meanings of such type of smile. However, the smile is very necessary as well as appropriate elements for the successful life of every human being also. Smiling at the stranger is considered as an effective and important part of the psychological well-being of a man. References:.
